Early Labor and Carbs

So all day and last night all I want to eat is carb-laden foods. I mean, I'm craving them like crazy!

So I did some research and discovered that many doctors and midwives actually recommend "carb loading" like athletes do before big events.

So, I guess ill just try to make good, reasonable choices...meaning, maybe the 20 Tootsie Rolls I ate while reading weren't the best idea, but Raisin Bran and pasta are good choices.

Isn't it interesting that the body can signal us to do things to prepare for labor? Like today, I slept from 3pm to 7pm! I'm just so tired and when I woke up, a friend had posted in my Facebook post, "Maybe it's because you'ee in labor!" I know it's crazy, but I didn't think about that. Honestly! Haha! I'm not in any pain, so I didn't think my body could be so worn out, but I am in a constant state of discomfort and that could cause fatigue. I also feel a lot of pressure and cramps, but nothing terrible. Mostly just pressure and tiredness.

My baby feels like she weighs a LOT. My belly is so heavy. I wonder how much she weighs.

So we are one day closer to being full-term. Just have to wait until Tuesday, then she can come if she wants. I just don't want her in the NICU at all. I just want her with me from day one.
