I'm inside, watching Extra and relaxing my pregnant bum in the air conditioning.
Today it was about 103 degrees and just going to Walmart for some Modpodge for C's puzzle made me feel faint. A miracle occurred while I was standing in one of two out of 25 "available" lines (why do they have so many? They NEVER open them...not even for holidays) when a woman called, "I can help someone over here."
Thank goodness, because I was getting dizzy and short of breath.
I remember feeling this way when I was pregnant with C. I had to go to the car because I kept seeing blackness...you know, just before passing out. This time, I fairest better. We walked to the car quickly though.
I'll be happy to be able to run again and I'd love a margarita. That said, as physically uncomfortable as I am, I really am loving this pregnancy. I love feeling my baby girl move in my belly. I love how soft my skin is because of all the water. I love that eating is focused on what is good for my baby...not calories, not good and bad, not anything but food to nourish. That said, I don't blindly eat either.
Oh! I've been cooking again! It's so awesome to have a husband who likes what I make and doesn't just turn his nose up at it without even trying it! Yesterday for K's birthday, I slow roasted a turkey breast (during a heat wave...LOL!), made potatoes anna, cucumber salad, and corn with chopped red peppers. For dessert I made Apple crisp. It was pretty good, if I do say so myself. I even brined the turkey. :-) It was so juicy.
So today I'm happy and life is good. I attached a goofy pic to celebrate this good feeling. :-)
