Well, I went to my appt and they were out of silver nitrate. The very nice doctor said she would be at the other location, if I could go there this afternoon, and that my bottom definitely needs the treatment.
So now I have to take the baby with me. Also, I have to take my car, which has expired tags (as of yesterday). I sent in my payment and should get the new ones soon, but I sent it to KY, and they require a copy of insurance. Well, Ohio just looks at the insurance card, so they only give you one copy. I had to mail my only copy in to KY. We have new cards that aren't good until the 12th. Hopefully I won't get pulled over. Ugh.
Well, K just decided to take my car, so I can take his, since I'll be up by UC. Now I hope HE won't get pulled over.
Oh gosh. I really need to get everything transferred to Ohio. I haven't even changed my last name and we were married in June. I just haven't had time! At this time, I still have my ex-husband's name.
Gaahhh!
So, I'm still nervous/scared of the treatment, but ready to get it done and get better, come what may.
I'm also going to get out today. I'm going to mail the birth announcements and I'm going to go to the grocery store. I may not get much, but I'll get a few things.
Then, I'm coming home and I'm going to relax, following any direction from the doctor, and watch a movie with my daughter. :-)
Today is good.
I'm happy.
I'm slightly relieved.
I'm confident.
My baby will be great while we're out. All is well.
Yay!
UPDATE
1. Kathryn did amazingly well!!! This was our third perfect trip out. She fussed only a smidge.
2. The silver nitrate wasn't bad at all. I wouldn't even describe it as painful. I do have a high pain tolerance though. It's stinging now like a paper cut in salt, but it isn't bad. I'm so relieved!!!
3. The family clinic didn't have a changing station or even a table to change a baby. Had to lay her in a blanket on the floor. Ugh. Glad it wasn't summertime, or I might not have had the blanket!
I'm so happy and relieved. I have to go back in a week to have it re-evaluated. Hope I won't have to have another treatment. I hope it heals before then! Then, I can get my pap smear done.
I'm 10 lbs over my pre-prego weight today (135 now) & surprisingly not freaked out about it. I'm so happy it is that I weigh more than that my body has a new shape. LOL. I was beginning to think I was doomed to be like this. Haha! Oh mama drama.
Anyway, serious cheers to a fabulous day so far.
Oh, also....feeding Ryn on only one side at a time has really helped her. She's not spitting up as much or getting the hiccups. It may have helped with the car ride too, because she was hiccup free!
Progress.
So incredibly happy.
