We are having out first baby-less outing today. We're meeting with my aunt and uncle for ribs at Behle Street in Covington. They have arguably the best ribs in the Cincy area.
I'm nervous to leave her, even though she'll be with her granny and she'll be absolutely fine. I'm more worried that she'll cry unconsolably like she does sometimes with K and I won't be here to help L. I don't want L to go nuts. Lol.
I'm sure all will be fine. K and I need a little time to ourselves.
In other news, our cat, Drama Mama, has taken to pissing in various places in the house, with her preference being in the corner of the dining room. Blech!! Well, I cleaned the area and sprayed it with vinegar, so she peed in the living room instead. Then, the bathroom, right in front of me as I used the bathroom!!
I put her in the basement with water, food, a bed, and litter box. I was so angry, that this was the alternative to putting her outside.
Anyway, I let her out later and we confined both cats to the kitchen, with access to the basement. They both like to lay in the kitchen window, so it was cool.
I read that it could be a UTI, but her peeing is deliberate, not like she can't hold it. I read it could be due to change....well, there's the baby. She hates loud noises (is terrified of the vacuum), and the baby cries. I read it could also be insecurity, or she's in heat.
Well, this morning, I petted her and she did the signature "do me" pose, with her butt in the air, face down, front paws padding the floor.
Great.
I knew we should have already fixed her. I told K numerous times, and now she's miserable and can't be fixed until she's out of heat. It's okay though. I'm just happy to know the cause. This is fixable. We'll have to neutralize everything afterward though so she doesn't continue this disgusting habit. Ugh.
I feel bad for her. She's walking around crying and every time I go near her, she assumes the position. LOL.
Poor, horny baby.
Anyway...
The picture I've attached makes me laugh. This is Katydid in her KaWaii Baby cheetah print cover...it cracks me up how chubby and LONG her legs look! :-)
Oh!! K fed her a bottle last night and got her to sleep. Then this morning she was fussing and he got her to sleep again! Yay. :-) Pictured below.
*deep breath* So nervous about today, even though it's just lunch and it'll only be a couple of hours. I have bottles ready and L is great with getting Kathryn calm and to sleep. She's like the baby whisperer. I know she's in great hands...
I guess it just goes with mommyhood.
