So, to continue on my journey of trying new things, doing things I've always wanted to do, and attempting to overcome fears, I'm going to get a dress form to try making my own clothes.
I've wanted to do this since I bought my first Seventeen magazine as a pre-teen.
I'm sure it'll be interesting and hard and make me want to curse, but I'm looking forward to it.
My newest project is coming along nicely, but I'm having a little trouble translating the fading of color (ie. Paint) into thread. It'll maybe make sense when I share a picture here when it is finished. The biggest challenge is finding time to work on it. This usually happens after Kathryn goes to bed.
In other news:
A few neighbors on our street have listed their houses for a higher price than we expected to see. Perhaps the market has taken a good turn? This is great news for is, because we plan to put ours on the market in spring. I still have to sand the floors, K is having a new furnace and A/C put in soon, and we have to repaint the kitchen.
Hopefully it'll be a quick sell.
Dipe Talk:
Kathryn didn't sleep well last night. I put her in a cloth diaperfor the night. It could be coincidence, but it was her first night in one since before vacation and it was her first restless night since then as well. I put a disposable on her and she slept fine until the alarm. *sigh*
I have her in cloth now too and will keep her in cloth until bedtime. I love the fluff butt. :-)
I'm happy today.
Ps....decided to dress her in her new floral jeggings, so had to use sposie. NO WAY the pants would fit over her fluff butt!!! Lol
