Thankfully I'm more lizard than human...at least that's what my husband says. I LOVE hot weather. I swear, I think there is nothing sexier than being outside when it's warm and somewhat humid...where you're wearing a light summer dress and it sticks to your legs just a bit. Oh yeah.
So it's been over 100 degrees for the last couple of days and while my prego friends are complaining, I'm relishing it. I actually thought I'd FINALLY feel hot, but I don't really. Now I'm not stupid, so I don't spend a lot of time outside, because my basal temperature is higher than usual and I have to look out for my baby. That said, I love this weather.
Funny thing though...after all the work K did to put that A/C unit together and get it installed, the very next day we had a pop up thunderstorm with insane straight winds that took out power for almost 200,000 D. Energy customers in the Cincinnati area...we were one of the lucky 200,000. Thankfully we got a good 30 minute rain that cooled the temps from 100 to the mid-70s, so I opened the windows and enjoyed the breeze and the smell of the rain.
So when K called and said, "Let's go to Kentucky to eat," I grabbed a cute dress, fixed my hair and makeup and was ready when he got home. I love when he comes home. I swear, I've never had a man treat me so well. He comes home, says, "Damn, there's my sexy girl." lol It's silly, but I love it. I love the way he treats me. He turns me on in every possible way.
We went to Behle Street Cafe for ribs, sat outside in the breeze. It was great. Of course I had trouble eating because the baby is taking up most of the space in my abdomen. I did finish the ribs though and afterward my belly hurt for quite a while. Ugh.
When we got home, we played Rummy 500 by candlelight. It was great...relaxing and fun. Then, we blew up an air mattress and camped out in the living room. I didn't sleep well at all, because let's face it, an air mattress (even a big thick one like ours) isn't supportive enough for a giant prego belly. Still, it was fun "camping" with my guy.
This morning, the electric was back on...16 hours without it wasn't so bad at all.
