Random Kindness

Someone I only know through Instagram has absolutely made my day...no, my entire Winter through a random act of kindness. She cannot even know how touched I am.

I know her because we both make quilts, although her work is just...amazing. She does stamp sized pieces. I LOVE her work.

She recently pieced one that I immediately fell in love with and just this morning I got a message from her saying that she couldn't sell it to me...that she was giving it to me.

She's giving it to me.

I'm blown away by her kindness. As a quilter, I understand the work, the energy, the thoughts, the emotions, etc that go into a quilt. A quilt is soooo much more than fabric and thread and I don't think anyone but a quilter can ever underatand that. I will cherish this gift for my whole life and I'll pass it to one of my children,  with the story of how it came into my life.
