My girl is snoozing and while I'd normally put her in bed, I've gotten a lot done today, so I'm enjoying a little snuggle time.
and taking stupid pictures of myself.
I laugh at the idea that I once wanted to be a model. I mean, as if. haha. However, I wish I had paid to be trained at an agency, just so I'd have taken better care of myself - especially my skin. I'm a poster child for sunscreen.
Hey, any sunscreen manufacturers want a model for incentive to wear your product? I'll do it! haha.
So funny...
but seriously, I'm 5'8" tall, weigh 117-120 (depending on how many more damn Girl Scout cookies I'll eat) I wear a size 0-4, depending on the brand.
Hahaha.
This is a total joke, by the way, but I WOULD be a great model for why you should wear sunscreen and or avoid the sun.
DO NOT lay out in the sun wearing baby oil with iodine and hold up a piece of aluminum foil near your face to "accelerate the rays."
All that said, I did have fun in the sun and I still plan to. I LOVE kayaking and plan to get out on the river this year, even if that means wearing baby on my back. I'm going. It's been 2 years. I love it too much not to do it.
I also love to swim, so it's silly to think I'll avoid the sun. I won't. I will, however, avoid the worst time of day for the sun (previously known as the best time).
In all honesty, I don't think the actual sun is my problem. I think it was...no, I KNOW it was the tanning beds I visited a few years in my late 20s and early 30s. I'd get so dark people thought I was Puerto Rican. Not joking.
Such as waste, but I admit the warmth of the bed was uber relaxing and probably more of the reason I visited them. I loved going after work. It helped me relax and unwind before I picked the boys up from daycare.

So anyway, I'm nearly finished with the wall hanging quilt for my mother and I can't wait to get it to her. I think it'll look great in her living room. Then, I will be starting on one for a friend of ours who has offered to pay me for my work.
I'm thrilled and nervous and all that.
I really love quilting and I'm so happy to have the opportunity to put a lot of time into it these days.
My toddler climbs EVERYTHING. She gets on the table, she's constantly climbing in the chairs, etc. She flip-flops, she scoots down the stairs...it's all I can do to keep up with her. Thankfully all of this has led to her sleeping better at night. Yay.
We are working in gentle weaning and I hope to start working on gently transitioning her to her own bed soon. Our bed is too small and she is so darn wiggly.
